Ninja Academy of Martial Arts St. Petersburg’s Premier Martial Arts Facility For Kids of All Ages

We recently moved to the area and found Coach Jay’s MMA program. My son chose him from his other reviews of being the kid whisperer (it’s true!) After meeting coach Jay and completing his first class my son was hooked and wanted to go every day available. Coach Jay is amazing with the kids and has the perfect balance of discipline and fun. I am thrilled with my son’s progress - this gym is a St Pete treasure that can’t be missed.

I cannot say enough good things about Ninja Academy. Our son never wants to come home, he loves it there, has so much fun during the after school time, and during summer camp. He has also recently started the MMA classes that are offered and it’s so much fun to watch!
Coach Jay always has everyone in check and all the kids are super well behaved. We send him there with 100% confidence that he’s safe, and having fun, which is most important. Coach Jed is also so wonderful with all the kiddos, it really is fun observing.
This is our sons second year there for aftercare and he will continue all through elementary school. Thanks so much for helping our little guy boost his confidence!!

I don’t even know where to start but in a nut shell, my husband and I both think Coach Jay is extraordinary and Ninja Academy has been such a blessing for our family! Our elementary age kids (son and daughter) did the summer program this past summer and they loved it so much that I cancelled weeks of another summer camp so they could stay here and have since enrolled them in the afterschool program and MMA classes for during the school year. Coach Jay has a great sense of humor, can effortlessly handle more kids than anyone I’ve ever seen, and he seems to really love being with them all day. He also must really like working because the place is almost always open for camps and classes even on days and weeks when school is out, which is super convenient for working parents. Also, my kids are turning into awesome little ninjas.

This Ninja Academy is fantastic! The instructors are great with kids, and the classes are fun and well-organized. My son is more confident and focused since joining. He also became much stronger. He is able to do great pushups and he has just started. Highly recommend!

This is the best thing I have ever done for my five sons. The 'Kid Whisperer' Coach Jay is as masterful with children as he is with martial arts. He has always gone above and beyond for students and their families and is a long time friend to ours and many others. This guy is superhuman, with a heart as big as the ocean, and this academy reflects all this and more. The discipline, love, structure and friendship we have gained cannot be matched. With beautiful facilities for in and out of class, it's the coolest place to hang for parents and kids. We look forward so much to our time there each week, and have made wonderful friends and connections that are so special. With a beautiful balance of a family feel with the amazing standard of teaching, makes this the best there is. Girls and boys alike, come down and check out our spot you will be obsessed! ❤️

Let me just say that coach j is great with kids. He gives them structure, discipline while learning martial arts. As a parent to a once leg hugger. He developed a more confident and vocal child. The daycare and school pick up is a big help. Especially when in today's society both parents work. He even takes time outside of NA and shown up to kids birthday parties. Thanks again J

My son and I were so excited to hear that Coach Jay was opening his own academy!! Of coarse we had to go check it out right away. Coach Jay's new academy is amazing! We signed up that day. My son absolutely loves going to class and I owe that all to Coach Jay and his wonderful teaching styles!! Coach Jay is amazing with the kids! All of us moms call him " The Kid Whisperer". He has many classes to fit anyone schedule. He will work with you! All you have to do is talk to him, and he will gladly try and help you out. We signed up for the after school program too. Helps a lot with my busy work schedule. Coach Jay treats all of his students and parents with the up most respect and he expects that in return. My son has grown, and learned so much from Coach Jay that I would ABSOLUTELY recommend his classes to any parent that is looking to start their child in a MMA class! You will not be disappointed!!

Coach Jay (and all of his instructors) are beyond awesome. They demonstrate patience and understanding while reinforcing that worthy things require hard work and persistence. There are some places that teach skills, Jay has a place that does this and teaches self confidence, self respect, and respect for others. Not just an amazing martial arts teacher, an amazing teacher all around. Cannot recommend it enough.
